Tips
Always keep track of your runners. If there is a runner on first base, for example, and you are the first baseman, you will know that if the ball is hit to you, you will tag first base to get the person who hit the ball out, then throw the ball to the second baseman, who will tag either the runner or the base, getting the runner originally on first base, out. (That is also an example of a double play.)
Spend your time in the dugout timing the pitcher, watching the other teams signals for certain things, and observing the abilities of every player. For example, you may find out that the right fielder may not be able to catch fly balls very well; therefore, you would want to hit a pop fly to the right fielder.
Always play out things in your head before the ball is hit. Pretend that the ball will be hit to you and think about where you're going to throw it when it actually does happen.
Always watch your batters. Remember their names, which you could probably find out by the cheers, so you will always know for future games which side of the field they hit to so you can warn your team where the batter is going to hit before it happens.
Never put your head down. There is always a chance that you might win or lose, so don't lose confidence. Even if the score is 0-100, still keep your head up. There's always a chance that the oposing team could get over excited about their 1st place lead and they will let their guard down, making you able to easily make points.
